About JMAC

Jesse McTigue loves teaching and learning. JMAC is the culmination of her experiences as a teacher, college counselor, and school leader.

As a student, Jesse attended Dartmouth College, captained their NCAA ski team, and graduated with a degree in English and a minor in environmental studies. She worked in independent schools in VT, CA, and CO, teaching every level of English and history from 7th through 12th grade, including IB Diploma classes. Her work in the classroom inspired her to complete a Master’s in School Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education before becoming the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at a small progressive K-12 independent school where she was a teacher, experiential trips leader, and college counselor.

Jesse is known for building strong relationships, supporting students to reach high standards, and helping students find their authentic voice to express themselves effectively in writing. She takes time to understand each student’s strengths and empowers them to reach their personal goals.

JMAC also embodies all of the partners, communities, colleagues, professors, coaches, and experts she has encountered in her professional career and those with whom she continues to collaborate, conference, and communicate. She is never alone.
